We sailed on the worlds largest cruise ship - ICON OF THE SEAS!!

We just got back from a 3 night preview sailing of Icon of the Seas. There is a reason this ship is only doing 7 night itineraries - there simply was not enough time to see and do it all! They took every inch of this largest ship in the world and decked it out. I will say as of right now, this is one of the very best family cruise options on the market. Every detail was thought out, the food was amazing, the rooms were beautiful and the staff was the best in the fleet.

The biggest difference on this ship to me compared to the Oasis Class ships is the multiple entrances to Surfside/Central Park/Promenade. With that the entire ship is SO much easier to get around. You don't have to play the go up to go down game. Just walk through the ship. Some of the areas you actually can take a slide to get to the next level of the area! We found two that we used almost every time. One up on the deck and one in Surfside.

The rooms on the ship are laid out super well and we also have new categories and ways that rooms connect for larger families. I will say the new categories are not going to be for everyone. This ship especially is super important to have a travel agent that is knowledgeable about it BECAUSE not all rooms that say they have a "balcony" are going to be the traditional balcony. They are more like a window. Not all rooms that sleep 4 truly sleep 4 in my opinion either. There is a family suite that there is no way even my two 3 year olds could share the sleeper sofa. It looked smaller than even a double bed.

Surfside has taken over the traditional Boardwalk on previous Royal Caribbean ships. This area is bright and colorful with lots of included options - and a few that aren't.

The shows on this ship are next level. The aqua dome was not quite finished when we were watching the aqua show and we were absolutely blown away. I cannot wait to see the finished product. Skateboarding Robots, what is better than that? The Wizard of Oz as well as an Ice Show are also onboard!

Overall this ship is quite a bit larger, however it is easier to navigate, has more included, more waterslides, more EVERYTHING. If you want the largest cruise ship in the world experience - let's get you booked! Plus when you book with me you will get at least a $50 onboard credit! I also have access to exclusive rates for some sailings and as always monitor your pricing to make sure you get the best price for your cruise! Booking into 2026.

Can't wait to work with you! - Nikki
