Which months should I avoid at Disneyland?

The time of year you visit Disneyland Park can honestly make or break your trip! Especially if you are unprepared for the weather/crowds. My least favorite is August, my most favorite is September. That shows how fast it all can change! Let's dive in to each month -

January - Lower crowds after the first week, holiday overlays will cause ride closures as well as some water rides typically will close for refurb. Lunar New Year happens this month in California Adventure

February - We have seen a sweethearts nite the past couple years that will shut down the park early. They also hide valentines and hopefully in the future will bring back Valentines decor. Great crowds + weather.

March - Special after hour events have started popping up this month. The first half is pretty slow, the second half will start to have spring break level crowds.

April - The flowers and trees are gorgeous in the Spring, the crowds get crazy this month and I wouldn't go without Genie+ every day.

May - Grad Parties take over this month and there are quite a few nights that one of the parks will close early.  You have to be a little more strategic in dates, but still a great time to go!

June - June starts the high crowds and higher temperatures start to arrive. Genie+ is going to be a must this month if you want to ride all the rides during your stay.

July - The fourth of July in the parks is super fun! The heat can be a little miserable so plan accordingly.  I do send the best places to take a break on a hot day with my touring plans!

August - This is probably my least favorite month that we have visited Disneyland. Hot ,Humid and the crowds are high with end of summer hurrah vacations.

September - My favorite month to visit Disneyland! Perfect weather, the second half of the month will start spooky season at the parks and crowds are lower than most months.

October - Oogie Boogie Bash draws in the crowds this month but I still love it! Halloween at Disneyland is magical and the weather is great as well.

November - Christmas season begins in November! The weather is a little more chilly and the parks are lower crowds except for around the Thanksgiving holiday.

December - The first week in December is my favorite to enjoy the Christmas decor. Besides the Christmas holiday you will see lower crowds. You will want to pack your coat for the weather this month.
